To advance the wellbeing of the residents of Tel Aviv-Yafo through Israeli and global philanthropy — connecting the Municipality, donors, and communities — and shaping the Lighthouse City in an entrepreneurial, trailblazing spirit that builds a future with hope.

The Tel Aviv Foundation is the engine of urban hope for Tel Aviv-Yafo — Israel’s Lighthouse City; a city of hope, resilience, meaning, and shared future, serving as a source of values, inspiration, and identity for Israel and the world. The Foundation operates from an urban vision led by Mayor Ron Huldai, who also serves as its Chairman, and through Israeli and global philanthropy works to foster resilience, meaning, and a shared future for the city’s residents — translating the city’s vision into long-term urban initiatives that strengthen communities, identity, and belonging.

The Foundation connects the Municipality, donors, and diverse communities, initiating, executing, and mobilizing partners around long-term urban projects, all united by the advancement of ‘urban Zionism.’ Among the Foundation’s projects are some of the cultural, educational, and social initiatives and icons that have reshaped the physical and social landscape of the city.

All programs and initiatives are developed and executed in full partnership with the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo, including a unique matching program through which the Municipality matches every contribution raised by the Foundation dollar-for-dollar.

OUR MODEL

The Tel Aviv Foundation has been the engine of urban hope for Tel Aviv-Yafo for nearly half a century. The Foundation has created long-term global partnerships that have enabled close to 1,000 projects throughout the city, including some of its most important cultural, educational, and social initiatives and icons — reshaping the physical and human landscape of the “Nonstop City.” All programs and initiatives are developed and executed in full partnership with the Municipality, through a unique matching program — with the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo matching every contribution shekel-for-shekel.
