Early April marked the 116th birthday of Tel Aviv, celebrated at the Shoshana & Zvulun Tomer Tel Aviv-Yafo City Museum with an array of cultural and food-focused events. The celebration’s highlight was the special “City Cake” competition, where local residents submitted recipes capturing Tel Aviv-Yafo’s unique character. Yuval Avrahami won the home baking category, while Aya Radi took top honors in the professional division, with winners announced during Thursday’s festivities.
Visitors of all generations enjoyed a three-day program packed with lectures, panel discussions, performances, workshops, and guided tours. These activities showcased the city’s rich culinary and cultural heritage through stories, iconic cafés, music, and distinctive flavors that have transformed Tel Aviv-Yafo into the vibrant metropolis it is today.
