In recent months, Dr. Oren has traveled around the world to share the Foundation’s vision for urban health, which is based on everyday public spaces. In November, she participated in the annual conference of the International Society for Urban Health in Wellington, New Zealand, alongside approximately 350 professionals, planners, and researchers from around the world.
Earlier in the fall, Dr. Oren also took part in the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Smart City Expo in Barcelona, where she presented the Foundation’s “Health Pockets” initiative. The initiative seeks to adapt parks and shared public spaces into emotional and social infrastructure that reduces stress, strengthens a sense of belonging, and empowers communities.
