“Bursa Live”: An Interview on the Economy Channel about the Establishment of the Jusidman Rehabilitation Hospital

Last week, the CEO of the Tel Aviv Foundation, Dr. Hila Oren, appeared on Bursa Live on the Economy Channel for a conversation about the establishment of the Jusidman Rehabilitation Hospital in Sde Dov, set to become the largest in Israel.

At the heart of the conversation was the process that led to the cornerstone gift of 200 million NIS from the Jusidman family fund, alongside the strategic partnership between the Tel Aviv Foundation, the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, and the Reut Association that is advancing the project.

Beyond the philanthropic milestone, the broad urban vision guiding the project was presented: the hospital is seen not as a medical building standing on its own, but as a significant anchor in the new urban fabric of Sde Dov, connected to the public spaces and the developing environment around it.

The design draws inspiration from the principles of salutogenic architecture, a health-promoting approach that considers the impact of the built environment on the healing process, on the well-being of patients, their families, and the staff, and on the quality of the public space. When a medical institution is planned as an integral part of the city, it strengthens the community, improves quality of life, and may even influence real estate values in its surroundings.

This is a national project that connects strategic philanthropy, health, and urban planning, demonstrating the power of long-term partnerships to drive meaningful change for the city and for Israeli society as a whole.
