A Year After the Concordia Conference, Shamir High School Leads Educational Change

18 November 2025

A year has passed since Shamir High School students participated in the Concordia Summit in New York (2024), as part of a delegation sent by the Tel Aviv Foundation. The students proudly represented Tel Aviv-Jafio and were exposed to the world of diplomacy and global leadership. This experience sparked a wave of groundbreaking educational initiatives, including:

“Diplomacy Day” (November 2024) – a first-of-its-kind event featuring ambassadors and senior diplomats.

“Shamir Global Summit” (May 2025) – a Model UN simulation focused on Israeli hostages.

ShamirX Talks – inspired by TED, led by students sharing personal ideas and insights.

City-wide Debate Tournament – launched a debate league for high schools in partnership with the municipality and Ministry of Education.

GCL Track – an innovative program for training young leaders and diplomats, the first of its kind in Israel.

This impressive body of work demonstrates how a single international experience, supported by the Tel Aviv Foundation, can ignite a profound educational and values-driven process.
