Schunat Neve Ofer, an area populated primarily by new immigrants from Bukharan was once designated as a disadvantaged neighborhood of Tel Aviv. In order to improve the residents’ quality of life, Mexico’s Feldman Family tore down the old, dilapidated wooden halls in which the community would gather and replaced them with a new, state-of-the-art community center . Today, the Feldman Community Center functions as the cultural and social hub of Neve Ofer and offers a range of recreational and enrichment activities for children, youth, adults and seniors. In recent years, the Feldman Family has made improvements to the Center, renovated and equipped local schools, and built a new public swimming pool.
