Addition of a new floor at Beit Frankfurt
Community | Community Center
Beit Frankfurt Community Center was founded in 1983 to mark the twinning of Frankfurt and Tel Aviv. Today it serves a population of some 50,000, offering activities in dance, sports, theater, music and fine arts. Beit Frankfurt’s Seniors Department has become well known for the services it provides to Holocaust survivors and elderly new immigrants. These services include meetings with social workers, workshops on how to cope with aging and loneliness, computer classes and field trips. In 2009, Beit Frankfurt was completely refurbished and renovated by the City of Frankfurt in honor of Tel Aviv’s centennial.
