Living with Dignity - Credit Card Project for Holocaust Survivors
Community | Various Locations
The “Credit Card” Project strives to benefit more than 5,000 Holocaust survivors residing in Tel Aviv who live under the established poverty line in Israel. These individuals have very limited income and must make difficult financial decisions every day. The project offers eligible Holocaust survivors a monthly stipend in the form of a prepaid “credit card.” Each card has a limit of $150 a month and helps recipients obtain personal essentials, such as food, toiletries, clothing and small appliances. Not only do the credit cards help elderly survivors more fully meet their daily needs, they also give the recipients a sense of dignity and equality.
