the murray and irene pergament new wing
at the gutman museum

The Gutman museum in Neve Tzedek was expanded thanks to the generous donation of the late Irene and Murray Pergament. The main building of the museum was built in 1998, in memory of Sherry Pergament Koppel, who passed away at the age of 37. Since its opening, the museum held several of important art exhibits of Nachum Gutman, who was a painter, a writer and a very well know illustrator. The Museum is one of the most popular Israeli educational art museums, where children from all over the country, soldiers and others are visiting and learning about art and local history. The new wing was added to accommodate the demand for displaying more of the artist’s work.

Bruce Pergament, son to Murray and Irene was honored to dedicate the wing, in honor of beloved parents, grandparents, leaders and visionaries, as a testament to their commitment to the State of Israel and world Jewry.
