Avi Maidenberg is the Executive Director of the
American Committee for the Tel Aviv Foundation since August 2005. His
responsibilities include all matters related to the activities and operations of
the Tel Aviv Foundation in the U.S.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Avi has held
senior positions in various Jewish organizations such as the America-Israel
Friendship League (Director for Regional Development), Jewish Life
Network/Steinhardt Foundation (Assistant to the Executive Director) the JCC
Association (Program Director for the JCC Maccabi Israel Xperience) and the
Massada Maccabi Israel Programs (National Program Director).
Avi studied at the Parsons School of Design
in New York City, majoring in Painting and Sculpture. Avi is married to
Jen, and has two sons, Tobey (4 1/2) and Oliver (10 months).
Avi believes in the significance of the city
of Tel Aviv - Yafo to modern day Israel and to its future prosperity. Avi
is particularly excited about working on Tel Aviv 100 - the centennial
celebration of the city in 2009 and is working on the strategic plan to
implement its celebration in the U.S. |
